What a Gentle, Artistic Soul

I have always admired Koerner's work. My husband and I have recently been in touch with his widow, Lisa Hobbs. Lisa traveled as a journalist with my mother-in-law, artist Helen Griffin in 1972 to mainland China. They were reporting on that time of change -- post Cultural Revolution -- for the Vancouver Sun. How touching it is to see and hear John Koerner speaking of his influences and art in the context of world change. Certainly from which his credo, "Take your life the way it is, don’t think it should be otherwise. Everything you meet, bless, and you will be blessed" resonates. I am very sorry not to have met him, and thank you for preserving this interview. May his legacy live on through his art and his vision for a gentler world.
