Elizabeth Barnes, "Mountain," 2015, acrylic on canvas, 24” x 18”.
Vancouver-based Elizabeth Barnes developed an interest in post-painterly abstraction at the prestigious Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Her work investigates human perception and consciousness as contemporary life becomes increasingly technological. “I like to think of repetition and permutation as a way for colour and form to work together in harmony,”she says.
