Come see what Alberta’s emerging artists and craftspeople have created at Alberta College of Art + Design Students’ Association (ACADSA) Winter Show + Sale on November 16, 17 and 18, 2017. The Show + Sale welcomes the public to view and purchase over 3,000 pieces of handmade art from more than 200 artists with all proceeds supporting the ACAD student body. These bespoke pieces will spruce up any home or make the perfect gift just in time for the holidays!
“Show + Sale provide a unique opportunity for student artists to share their work with the larger Calgary community and build relationships with local creatives and private patrons alike,” said Joel Farris, Career Development Coordinator with ACADSA. “The event has a tremendous sense of creativity and comradery as students from every department within the school come together to collaborate and support one another.”
Over 200 students are showcasing their work and ACADSA is anticipating this edition of Show + Sale will be one of the most successful celebrations of student talent they have ever hosted.
Support Alberta’s emerging artists by purchasing work representing a range of the institution’s programs including painting, drawing, glass, jewellery, fibre, printmaking, sculpture, photography and ceramics. ACAD students develop entrepreneurial skills and profit from selling what they make with 30 per cent of ACAD graduates going on to start their own businesses.
