"Estuary at Kynoch Inlet"
Mae Moore, "Estuary at Kynoch Inlet," Acrylic on Canvas, 91 x 91 cm.
Fifty artists - some of Canada’s most celebrated - have taken up paintbrushes and carving tools to portray Canada’s fragile rain coast - one they feel is threatened by Enbridge's Northern Gateway pipeline proposal.
The expedition of artists, including Robert Bateman, Carol Evans and Roy Henry Vickers, traveled to the spectacular and remote Great Bear Rainforest to depict the rich biodiversity and ecological elements of the area. The resulting artworks portray the splendour of the region in this art exhibition show with a message. An art book has also been produced and will be available at the show.
