Amanda Strong is a Michif, Indigenous filmmaker, media artist and stop motion director currently based out of the unceded Coast Salish territory also known as Vancouver, British Columbia. She grew up in Mississauga, Ontario and has lived in Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. She has exhibited work and screened films worldwide, including at the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, and the Ottawa International Animation.
Amanda Strong is in Saskatoon for her exhibition at Wanuskewin Heritage Park. The exhibition: paskwâw nîpîy(Plains Cree for grass and water) features three films: How to Steal a Canoe, Four Faces of the Moon and Biidaaban the Dawn Comes.
