To accommodate the displaying of the entire show, the CRAG is hosting a second opening with all new work for Behind the Lines. The work is presented in two separate showings to give visitors the opportunity to see all the work and not crowd the already powerful impact. The new work promises to be thought provoking and reflective and to take viewers further into the lived experiences of what it's like living in a city under siege.
June 15 at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm // An Afternoon of Syrian Music, Dance and FoodSpend an afternoon with us and listen to Syrian music, watch a sample of dance and have lunch at Baba Gannouj Food Truck in Spirit Square. CRAG will also be leading guided talks through the Behind the Lines exhibition and kids will be invited to learn how to write their name in arabic. This is a family friendly event with art activities for kids.
Presenting the work of twenty Syrian artists, this powerful exhibition provides a unique window into the lives and minds of those affected by the devastating civil war.
