February 26 - March 29
No one else has had quite the same, remarkable journey as multi-Grammy nominated author and photographer Ethan Russell. He is the only photographer to have shot album covers for The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who. His list of subjects includes Jerry Lee Lewis, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Eric Clapton, Linda Ronstadt and Rosanne Cash to name a few. His early career coincided with a cultural storm of music, art, change, and evolution that reshaped the world and became the collective story of a generation.
Over 60 pieces, some exclusive to the exhibit, will be on display at Gallery@501 February 26 – March 29, with an opening night reception on March 4 at 7:00pm. Then on March 5, Ethan Russell himself will take the stage at Festival Place to present over 350 photographs and share the intimate stories behind them, accompanied by the music that inspired them.
