invitation

Every 6 foot clay birch bark in this installation is a metaphor for the human condition and nature and explores themes of relationships, joy, pain, flaws and beauty. Each birch bark can stand alone but as a forest, they are strong and resilient. As an artist and playful gardener, Bev enjoys bringing nature indoors whenever possible.
The Clay sculptures, span 28.5 feet long and 6 feet high, a collection of individually carved and slab built multi-fired pieces, reminiscent of a birch forest. Her distressed and carved surfaces express a metaphor for the human condition and nature, where beauty is found in brokenness.
