In 2017 the fourth Fraser Valley Biennale will celebrate notable works of art created in the region over the past two years. The Biennale is coordinated by The Reach Gallery Museum in partnership with Fraser Valley arts councils. In preparation for the 2017 exhibition, we are seeking a Guest Curator to develop the project from research to completion.
The Guest Curator is responsible for researching and selecting works of art created by Fraser Valley artists (encompassing Hope to Langley) created since 2015. The Guest Curator will work closely with staff from The Reach Gallery Museum to develop an exhibition that will tour regional arts councils in the Fraser Valley beginning in January 2017, and concluding at The Reach at the end of the year. The vision for the Biennale is to celebrate excellence in regional art and give audiences the opportunity to discover the talented artists in our region. The Guest Curator will receive a competitive honorarium and a stipend for travel (studio visits).
