A Call for Justice: Fighting for Japanese Canadian Redress (1977-1988) is a travelling exhibition from the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre that examines the hard work and perseverance of a dedicated group of community members who worked to have the injustices Japanese Canadians suffered from 1942 to 1949 acknowledged by the government. The powerful story of the 10-year emotional struggle to achieve an apology and acknowledgement is told using photographs, artifacts, poetry, personal statements, art and video.
