Opening reception: Thursday, May 16, 7-9 pm // Artist Talk: Saturday, May 18, 2pm.
This graduating class of students from the Textile Arts Program at Capilano University explore a range of approaches and techniques to textile arts. Included are art pieces on the wall, installations, garments meant to be worn or objects used in the home. They express a variety of positions of personal social and ecological concerns. This year our focus is on works that are transformative or tell personal stories visually or in abstract/symbolic ways.
