Christina Clarke, "Okanagan Layers," nd
acrylic, 36" x 48" x 1.5"
Born in Orillia, Ontario, Christina began painting horses at an early age and spent countless hours creating, experimenting, and exploring water and oil-based media for their potential to bring life to familiar scenes.
Her current work is primarily in acrylics, while her subjects aim to capture single moments of light and weather as they animate the natural landscape. Exploration, immersion, and observations in nature are essential to her development process. A self-taught artist, Christina is passionate about continuous improvement and advancement of her skill and knowledge through workshops, community, and experimentation.
Christina is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and currently resides in Vancouver with her husband. Her work is now viewable at the Hambleton Galleries in downtown Kelowna.
