The Pool Project honours the spirit of one of Saskatchewan's most beloved photographers, the late Courtney Milne. This wonderful exhibition, which was conceived and organized in close concert with the artist before his untimely passing in August 2010, marries 40 stunning images from his 10-year Pool of Possibilities photo series with the voices of 40 faith leaders, writers, poets, musicians, and community members who individually crafted written responses to the works in the show.
Milne took thousands of photographs of the surface of the pool, through all seasons and at all times of the day and night. With nothing but water, light, wind, sticks and leaves forming their compositions, the photographs brilliantly demonstrate the ancient saying that the cosmos can be found in a drop of water.
