Dream Home by Ingrid McMillan,
The new series Dream Home continues with the themes of The Brain Uncoiled, a completed series of eighteen mixed media canvasses that explore the visceral brain and the emotional palette within it. Dream Home is about light in humanity, often referred to as human consciousness. Each painting explores how the mind, in a state of still surrender or as dense avalanches of brain activity, can be likened to light in nature. Dream Home investigates how human consciousness merges with nature. Where does the human organism end and nature begin? These paintings represent the artist's experience with St. Vital Park, Winnipeg, Canada.
Ingrid McMillan lives and works in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She earned her BFA, BEd, and MEd. degrees from the University of Manitoba. When not painting, Ingrid works as art teacher and Dream Home counsellor in the esteemed Pembina Trails School Division.
