Floyd Elzinga The wait felt like eternity, but was worthwhile... At last we have a new collection of pine cones and panels here at Canada House Gallery! From windswept shores to rich ochre weathered steel details Floyd is able to command great depth and diversity from steel.
Robert Lemay Sheltering from the harsh Edmonton winter, Lemay has been drawing creative energy from moments captured from his garden in high summer and exploring bold colour combinations: "The colour notes of the creams, corals, and dark reds of my latest work would seem to clash but the juiciness unites and harmonizes them." Robert Lemay.
Ted Harrison, RCA, OC. B. August 28, 1926 D. January 16, 2015Ted Harrison has a rich history of arts education, both as student and teacher and his creative pursuits were only interrupted in 1945, when he went to serve in the Intelligence Unit of the British Army. Travelling across Canada, Harrison spent many years in the Yukon before settling with his family in BC. His art is famous across Canada and we are proud to be able to share this collection of limited edition serigraphs with you!
K Neil Swanson Rich in pattern and colour Swanson pairs accurate renditions of iconic Canadian Rockies mountains with the implied energy of the landscape. Forms flow into one another, providing the viewer a myriad of features to discover, look close and you'll find animals emerging from silhouettes and flora transforming into fauna.
André Pleau Painted with his signature energetic style, achieved through painting solely with a palette knife, Pleau's work is informed by his years as a Wildlife Conservation Officer. These energetic springtime pieces are a breath of fresh air and really deliver the sensation of wind rushing across the water and onto the shore.
