Hashim Hannoon is a master of shape and colour, and it is this combination of elements that makes his work so exciting. Central to his work are the vibrant splashes of colour thoughtfully placed throughout Hannoon's paintings. Through his use of colour, Hannoon shows an understanding of previous modernist movements and draws inspiration from the works of Paul Klee.
Immigrating to Canada in 2009, Hannoon is currently residing in Vancouver, BC, where the city continues to be a source of inspiration for him. His work is held in a number of prominent collections and he has achieved international recognition.
