About the artist: A member of the Deline First Nation, but raised away from her traditional lands, Laura Grier feels obligated to learn and tell her people’s stories, “The act of storytelling is an act of Indigenous resistance, decolonization, and reclamation.” Her captivating Sahtuot’ine project is a series of screen prints that depict stories from Deline Elders in the Northwest Territories.

Laura Grier has been mentored by Janice Iniskimaki Tanton.
