collage, 20.5" x 16.5"
You are invited to join Wendy Duffield at the reception on Sunday, July 21, 1-3 pm.
Wendy Duffield’s exquisite art has been called wonderfully charming, unique, intriguing, and enigmatic.
Each of her pieces will take you on a journey, just as she has undertaken a journey in creating them. Her series “Collage Girls – The Class of 1928” explores the lives and careers of 20th Century women. Another celebrates aviation history, and other works, including her wearable books, illustrate aspects of human nature, such as courage, grief, loss, even murder.
Her work includes handmade, one of kind jewellery, wearable books, collage, and small objects - inspired by and incorporating mementos, ephemera, relics, artifacts and discarded treasures. Her art is best experienced in person, they invite you to ponder, to wonder, to discover, and to reminisce.
She will also be at the Coast Collective gallery on July 20 from 1 – 4 pm, as well as demonstrating some of her techniques on July 27 and 28th from 1 – 5 pm.
