Michelle Wiebe:Letterpress Demos Saturday/Sunday, June 23/24
Cochrane artist, Michelle Wiebe, will be in the gallery demonstrating the art of letterpress printing. Using a tabletop Kelsey 6” x 10” platen printing press, she will explain the process of transforming hand cut linoblocks and vintage lead typeface into contemporary works of art. She will also have on hand a fresh selection of hand pulled cards, pictures and other paper ephemera.
Drop by any time during the day, she'll be busy working her letterpress magic from 10 - 6 both days!
