This traveling exhibition, produced in partnership with Les Productions Ondinnok Inc. and Commissioner Sylvie Paré, is a tribute to Aboriginal women who have been forgotten by history and silently disappeared. Hannah Claus, Nadia Myre, Sylvie Bernard, Mariette Manigouche, Diane Blacksmith, Lise Bibeau, Annette Nolett, Diane Robertson and an anonymous artist. In addition, the exhibition presents a work by the filmmaker Wendat Akienda Lainé and a collective art installation.
By presenting this exhibition, La Boîte Rouge VIF wishes to bring to light a reflection and a collective awareness on the link between the disappearance of Indigenous women and the loss of traditional knowledge and know-how, anchored in the news.
The VIF Red Box would like to acknowledge the important contribution of its partners: Canadian Government, NIB Trust Fund, UQAC. Thanks also to our staff at Ondinnok
