A variety of paints and supports, as well as ‘found objects’, will be used to explore the endless possibilities of combining material(s) during a one day workshop. This crash course in ‘media manipulation’ will provide attendees with a basic knowledge of what will or will not go together when making an artwork. Both flat surfaces and three dimensional forms will be investigated. Water-based paints and inks as well as dry media – charcoal, chalk pastel, pencil – will be the primary ingredients. Collage, and forms of assemblage will addressed, as well. Wear your art-making garments if you sign up for this class.
