MOUNTAINS: Shaping the landscape

The Canadian Rockies are rich with mountain landscape.  Since the 19^th century tourists, artists, photographers and alpinists alike have flocked to the Canadian Rockies.  The Vaux Family, Swiss Guides, Alpine Club of Canada, Banff/Jasper Park wardens, to name a few, have explored, documented, mapped, guided, and kept us safe in this beautiful sometimes unforgiving environment.  Our fascination with the mountains continues into the 21^stcentury and our exhibition MOUNTAINS:  Shaping the landscape, brings together painters, photographers and mixed media artists who are keeping the dream alive, exploring and documenting these celebrated mountains.
