to
Martha Street Studio 11 Martha St, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 1A2
Meet the recipients of the 2018/19 Centre[3] – Martha Street Studio Residency Exchange: Neah Kelly (ON) and Bram Keast (MB).
Centre[3] for Print and Media Arts member Neah Kelly will be in residence at Martha Street Studio in April. She will present an artist talk on Saturday April 13 at 2pm. This presentation is free to attend and open to the public. ASL interpretation is available upon request by emailing askmartha@printmakers.mb.ca prior to 5pm on Wednesday April 10.
Neah Kelly was raised on Vancouver Island, Canada. Her work is concerned with the circuitous nature of creativity, and how endless iterations can be found or generated, explored and capitalized on through the use of constraints and an obsessive tenacity. She received a BFA from Concordia University in Montreal and an MFA from Indiana University. Neah has exhibited widely across the U.S. and Canada, participating in group shows at Woman Made Gallery (Chicago), Site: Brooklyn (New York), and the winter 2018 and summer 2017 editions of the New Prints Exhibits at IPCNY (New York). Recent exhibitions include the Screenprint Biennial 2018 (Albany, NY), a two-person show at Noise Gallery (Bloomington, IN), and a solo show at The Fifty Fifty Arts Collective (Victoria, BC).
This year she’ll be participating in the Bonnie McComb Kreye (Victoria, BC) and KKV Gravik Studio Printmaking and Sculpture (Malmö, Sweden) residencies, as well as a two-person show at Atelier Circulaire (Montreal, QC) in the fall. She currently lives in Hamilton, ON.
