"Storm Clouds and Stripes"
Sarah Nind, "Storm Clouds and Stripes," photography based mixed media, 36" x 48".
Opening Reception Saturday February 8th, 1-4 pm
Newzones is pleased to announce Interjections, a solo show by Sarah Nind.
By interjecting pattern into her visual language, Nind’s current work is addressing ideas of pattern and the decorative arts, and its collision with the “high” art image. Undoubtedly, we are living in a world that is increasingly visual, with multi-leveled systems of language becoming the norm. This juxtaposition questions language and our understanding of seemingly disparate systems. Is pattern a language with which we structure a world that is chaotic and undefined?
