Canada House Gallery may be 40 years old, but it continues to celebrate what is fresh and exciting on the Canadian art scene. Steven Nederveen joined the gallery in 2013 and exhibits across Canada. He travels extensively, photographing places that feel alive to him, recording the presences there and then re-imagining that world through a combination of digital and painterly processes. By blurring the lines between photography and painting, Nederveen has developed a magical realism that he hopes inspires others to see the world with enchanted eyes. This is Canada House Gallery’s first exhibition for Steven Nederveen.
Artist reception, Saturday, June 7
Exhibition continues until June 18
