The Works Art & Design Festival is North America’s largest FREE, outdoor art and design festival. Once a year, The Festival transforms over a square kilometer of Edmonton’s downtown core into a visual phenomenon that invites the participation of a broad audience. For 13 days, between June and July, patrons can soak up some sun while appreciating an array of visual art, design, performance and creative ideas.
The Works has featured artists from across the globe, and annually features 260 special events, workshops, demonstrations, and discussions. In 2012, over 372,000 art enthusiasts visited the Festival’s main site in Sir Winston Churchill Square, exhibits and events around town to enjoy 707 works of art by more than 600 artists.
