The West End Gallery is pleased to present “Aspects of Alberta,” a solo exhibition of new works by W.H. Webb opening with the artist in attendance on Saturday, April 27th between 1pm and 4pm.
Webb is a landscape painter currently residing in Forestburg, AB, who describes his style as “painterly realism.” He uses acrylic paints in a manner reminiscent of the traditional school of watercolourists to create topographical landscapes that are intellectually developed with the inter-related elements of space, form, colour, line, unity, and rhythm. Webb’s work has demonstrated a lasting love affair with the prairie and mountain vistas of Alberta. His large realistic landscapes reflect the beauty, mood, and endless horizons of this land.
