About the Artist
Avani Tanya (b.1990) is an artist working in photography, text and sculpture. She is guided by her interest in themes of collecting, urban life, the nature of memory and forms of storytelling. She was an Artist-in-residence at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Delfina Foundation in London earlier this year. Her works have been a part of shows at the Daegu Photo Biennale 2016 in Daegu, Brandts Museum for Kunst & Visuel Kultur in Odense; Triveni Kala Sangam in New Delhi; Markus Kirche in Hannover; Instituto Cervantes Nueva Delhi in New Delhi; Tokyo Geidai in Tokyo; Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan in Bangalore; The Japan Foundation in New Delhi; and at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad.
The Installation will be accompanied by an interview with the artist, to be published on window's Tumblr in the coming weeks.
