Jarvis Hall Gallery (JHG) is turning 10 and are marking the occasion with a new exhibition to celebrate this milestone. 10 Years Later features the work of twenty artists ranging from established to mid-career and emerging who are actively shaping the landscape of contemporary art and collections across the nation. This group exhibition is a boisterous conversation on Canadian contemporary art, highlighting artists JHG proudly represents and collaborates with on an ongoing basis.
From the gallery’s inception in 2010 and continuing over the past decade, Jarvis Hall (Founder/Director & Master Framer) along with Shannon Norberg (co-owner & Gallery Director), have re-envisioned the possibilities of what commercial galleries can be for artists, collectors and the vibrant arts community they value. Hall and Norberg’s desire for a strong visual culture and passion for gender equity has played an integral part in the shaping of the gallery and its programming. Throughout the years, JHG has actively supported the practices of artists to foster a deeper understanding of their creative processes, while providing a platform and space to share these critical dialogs within the community. Working alongside artists, art consultants, curators, museums, corporate and private collectors, they have proudly helped place work in prominent collections and institutions across the country. Through active representation, ongoing exhibitions, international art fairs, studio tours, and community liaisons, Hall and Norberg in their stewardship and leadership of JHG have and will continue to champion Canadian art in Alberta and beyond. Here’s to the next 10!

A heartfelt “thank you” to all the artists, clients, collectors, creative community, family, and friends that have made this past decade possible. Without you, these walls would be bare ~ J+S
Despite restrictions being eased in Calgary, we've designed a new Online Viewing Room to accompany this group exhibition. JHG will remain open By Appointment between Tuesday - Thursday and we welcome you to Drop In on Fridays and Saturdays. Using this platform and approach, we can continue with our planned exhibition schedule while ensuring that the health, safety and comfort of our artists, collectors, clients and staff is a top priority.
The exhibition is now open and the Online Viewing Room is LIVE to the public via our website. Artwork prices are listed and further information on purchasing can be obtained by contacting the gallery here.
