Harmonics is an exquisite marriage of science, sound, and spirituality, and at its heart lies the enthralling frequency of 432 Hz. Known as the 'Harmonic Frequency', 432 Hz resonates with the rhythm of the universe, fostering tranquility, emotional balance, and holistic wellness. The frequency of 432 Hz is said to align mathematically with the patterns of the universe. This tone vibrates on the principle of the golden mean PHI, unifying properties of light, time, space, matter, gravity, and magnetism with human biology, DNA code, and consciousness.
Rob Menard aka Ascension Sound is a Winnipeg based sound artist, vibrational sound medicine practitioner, sonic guitar and drone musician. He has an upcoming split cassette release with Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), this fall. The tapes will be available before the release date, at the 20 Guitar Circular Wall Of Angelic Sound event at the Graffiti Gallery. Menard created the event starting back in 2004 as part of Greg Hanec's Artifact Series. It grew to an annual event for several years.
He has been in numerous touring and recording bands in Winnipeg throughout the years, including Absent Sound and Room 237. He's been living away from Winnipeg for 9 years - in Mexico for almost 6 years and a few years in the Vancouver area.
