The Audain Art Museum’s annual Illuminate Gala & Auction will make an exciting virtual debut this year.
Celebrated media personalities Gloria Macarenko and Fred Lee will co-host this energizing broadcast that includes special guest appearances, a Live Auction of major works of art by auctioneer Robert Heffel of Heffel Fine Art Auction House, a spectacular performance by Arts Umbrella, musical entertainment by Jaycelyn Brown and a brilliant Silent Auction selection, all accompanied by an unmatched at-home reception experience.
Attendees will be treated to a beautiful variety of curated dining offerings prepared by The Lazy Gourmet with wine and cocktails by Mission Hill Family Estate.

Each sumptuously prepared gourmet box is delivered to attendees’ homes in the Lower Mainland and Whistler just prior to the live broadcast. Chicken Saltimbocca, Seared Ahi Tuna, New York Steak au Poivre, Pesto Marinated Bocconcini, Focaccia Bread and Ruby Pistachio Mousse are among the gastronomic delights that Gala attendees will enjoy in this cocktail-style dinner. No cooking required. The at-home event experience also includes art-inspired mementos and an entertaining cocktail instructional by Fred Lee. Virtual participants outside of the Lower Mainland and Whistler will receive a higher tax receipt in lieu of an Event Box.
The evening's festivities include:
- A traditional welcome song performed by Squamish and Kwakwak’wakw artist Xwalacktun
- Guest appearance by AAM Founders Michael Audain and Yoshiko Karasawa from their home in West Vancouver
- Dance performance by Arts Umbrella choreographed for the Audain Art Museum's unique spaces
- Musical entertainment by Whistler's Jaycelyn Brown of JUNO Award-winning band Said the Whale
