Give us a high five: the Small File Media Festival’s ecomedia showcase returns to The Cinematheque this Fall for its fifth iteration! Over 60 international artists and filmmakers intervene in the 4k dystopia with glitched out, lo-fi cinema, compression poems, found footage, and the songs of obsolete technology.

The festival proper kicks off at The Cinematheque with two incredible opening night programs, and continues throughout the next day. The winners of the coveted Small File Golden Mini Bear and other bespoke awards will be announced during the award ceremony following the final program on October 19. All festival programming will be available to stream online on the festival website (2024.smallfile.ca) October 21-27.
