The Federation Retreat is the largest educational and social event of the year, hosted by the Federation of Canadian Artists.

The 2025 Summer Federation Retreat will take place in beautiful Wolfville, Nova Scotia, at Acadia University from June 22nd - 27th, 2025. This retreat offers an extraordinary opportunity to experience some of the most stunning plein air painting locations on the East Coast.

In the company of our Master Instructors participants will spend their days creating, painting and developing their skills, while painting en plein air. In the evenings, artists will have the opportunity to join their peers for a variety of fun social events or take the time to relax and explore their surroundings.

What to Expect:

-Master Instructors: Ann Willsie, SFCA, and James Middleton, will guide you through the creative process, painting, learning, and developing your skills.

-Location: Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Wolfville, known for its vineyards, scenic farmland, and coastal vistas. The town's vibrant arts scene adds to the inspirational setting.

-Evening Activities: Engage in fun social activities or take time to explore the local area.

-Accommodation: Enjoy comfortable, hotel-style rooms with essential amenities, including complimentary WIFI, secure swipe access, and 24-hour campus security.

-Facilities: Complimentary parking, fitness centre access, and a pool for relaxation after painting.

-4 days of instruction with the chance to paint with each Master Instructor
