47th Anniversary Gala Dinner & Art Auction

Date/Time: Saturday, March 7 at 6pm

Venue: Western Front, 303 East 8th Avenue, Vancouver

Western Front has played a significant role in Vancouver’s art community since 1973, and continues to be a crucial platform for experimental arts practice in Canada and internationally. 

Essential to our success is the generosity of the community, including the attendees of our events and the contemporary artists who share their practices, and in this instance, kindly donate work. Proceeds from the Gala Dinner & Art Auction go directly to supporting our contemporary art and new music programs.

The evening will commence with a reception in the gallery, followed by a live art auction, family-style dinner and music performances in our historic Grand Luxe Hall. This year the award-winning Tayybeh will cater the event. Meaning “kind” and “delicious” in Arabic, Tayybeh’s Syrian women chefs will share carefully curated dishes from their hometowns. Performances will be by pianist Roisin Adams and Kef featuring Aram Bajakian on guitar, Joshua Zubot on violin and James Meger on bass. 

Tickets $200 per seat at tables of ten.

All tickets will be eligible for a tax receipt for the maximum allowable amount, which will be mailed out after the event.

PREVIEW RECEPTION & EXHIBITION

A preview reception will be held on Wednesday, March 4 from 6-8pm, with the exhibition on view from Wednesday March 4 to Friday March 6, 11am-5pm.
