The Alberta Society of Artists is proud to present the solo exhibition Out of Line featuring the work of Alberta artist Carolyn Jerrard.
“Our world is regularly in the grips of turmoil, division, and stress. The ways in which we have seen the world, interacted with each other and approached life both individually and as a collective have been turned upside down since 2020. Change has challenged us regardless of our views and beliefs.
Out of Line ask questions on how we can evade solitude while resisting conformity. Where can we find balance between contrasting and complimenting each other? This series challenges the individual to ponder what their role is, how they have experienced the world around them and what they bring to the future for the whole.”
The Alberta Society of Artists is the oldest society of juried professional artists in the province, providing art education and exhibitions in public venues since 1931. The Society’s goal is to increase public awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in Alberta.
