The West End Gallery joyously presents “Adorn with Art”, our annual holiday exhibition! Showcasing a variety of colours, techniques, and inspiration to celebrate the season; landscape, still life, abstract, impressionistic, urban, and figurative styles are all represented.
Participating painters include: Fraser Brinsmead, Claudette Castonguay, Rod Charlesworth, Robert Genn, Dana Irving, Paul Jorgensen, Irene Klar, Brent Laycock, Shi Le, Annabelle Marquis, Gerda Marschall, Jeannette Perreault, Guy Roy, Robert Savignac, Blythe Scott, Glen Semple, Peter Shostak, Blu Smith, W.H. Webb, Peter Wyse, and more!
Introducing still life artists Josée Lord and Maryann Hendriks. Particularly touched by the uneven nature of forms, Josée is very familiar with objects and hand-made things allowing her a freedom to exteriorize her emotions. Maryann’s approach of a multi layered application of acrylic paints and mediums translates her love of flowers into a beautifully abstracted rendition of her subject.
Also on display is a beautiful selection of glass and sculpture work from: Kathleen Black, Maryse Chartrand, Robert Held, Tammy Hudgeon, Robert Leatherbarrow, Darren Petersen, Paull Rodrigue, Lois Scott and David Thai. Introducing sculptor Andrew Mirth who is a woodworker by trade and uses the discarded pieces from his surroundings to create forms that bring attention to the shape of the medium as a crucial aspect of the overall sculpture.
Join us for the opening reception Saturday December 7th from 1-4pm.
