Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, “ArtAuction,” 2025

Here at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, we’re gearing up and getting trained for our largest annual fundraiser, Westman’s original art auction and gala, where we join people from our community and beyond to champion the cause of arts programming in our region. This year, “Champion” is right, because we have invited special guests Mayor Jeff Fawcett, Aida Harrison, Trent Bartley, and Emmy Sanderson and local artists Curt Shoultz, Lisa Wood, Chris Reid, and Amanda Dupuis to pair up and fight it out in an art battle, live for our guests, on May 8, 2025, in support of the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba.

The event will take place in the beautiful and historic Dome Building, and in addition to the battle, guests will enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks, as well as both a silent and live auction, where our guests will have a chance to take home some of Westman’s greatest contemporary art.

More than a fundraiser, this is a chance to connect with our community, united in the belief that art and art-making are important for enhancing the quality of our lives, and should be accessible to everyone.
