Whitehorse glass artists Aimee Ellis and Jeanine Baker are teaming up for a new show at Yukon Artists at Work next month.
“The show invites people to slow down and contemplate their circumstances and realities,” said Ellis. “It asks each of us to consider what gives meaning to our lives, and how we can be at peace with the circumstances we find ourselves in, even if they might not be what we had hoped for.” “The pieces in the show carry themes of remembering yesterdays, understanding our purpose for today, and thinking about how best to move forward in the future,” added Baker. “The exhibit is about sitting in silence and observing the ripples of our lives in all their intricacies and flavours.”
