Are We There Yet?
to
Mónica Reyes Gallery 602 E Hastings Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V6A 1R1
We are pleased to invite you to the opening reception/ party to celebrate the gallery's 5th anniversary on Friday July 20 6-8PM.
With this group show celebration we want to highlight the artists the gallery has been working with steady for the past years, introduce the work of two new artists to the gallery (Jason McLean and Corri-Lynn Tetz) with special guests, Kathy Slade and Jayce Salloum.
Are We There Yet? speaks about that sense of rush and excitement we all experienced in our early youth, as we celebrate a milestone one can only wonder how long before one can graduate from being "emerging" and claim the same acknowledgment with those already been labeled as "established".
Over the years we have presented artists from near and far and often times giving them their first introduction on the West Coast. We have worked with some wonderful curators and have had some of the best gallery assistants one can hope for (Tarah Hogue, Denise Ryner, Derrick Chang and these days Ellie Chung) to you all my gratitude.
As an emerging gallery, we have been ambitious enough to seek new horizons by attending 12 art fairs in the past 5 years proving we are committed to promoting our artists and the gallery, establishing and planting not only here but growing within North America.
Are We There Yet? is an invitation to come and celebrate what awaits us in the coming years. With works by:
