Life is not simple; we are all complex and unique. We all have different perspectives and priorities that can divide us or bring us together. This show brings together four artists—with distinctive styles, backgrounds, and techniques—each one contributing a different aspect of themselves and their particular perception of the world through their art.
Shosh Shalev-Minuk is a Winnipeg artist originally from Israel whose current work of abstract paintings is a visual representation of her reverence for the beauty and the divine presence informing life.
Cindy Garrioch is a multimedia artist living in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She holds a BFA Honours in printmaking and her work focuses on the themes of time, memory, and perception in her art.
Orly Hasid, who is originally from Israel where she studied art, has been painting for 17 years. She uses colour and line to bring a sense of energy to her art.
Dan Hawksworth is a self-taught Winnipeg illustrator and painter who draws inspiration from popular culture, nature, and his own imagination who uses art as a way of helping him understand himself and his place in the world.
Connie Wawruck-Hemmett is a Manitoba visual artist who works in many mediums, from painting to photography to ceramics. Her ceramics reflect the countries she has visited and the elements that are intrinsic to human existence—earth, wind, and fire.
