Meet some of the clients of Red Deer’s Safe Harbour homeless shelter.
The 10 people depicted in these acrylic paintings range in age from 19 to 60-plus. They have all navigated difficult or traumatic life journeys and now suffer from addictions and or mental health problems.
The Being Human portrait exhibit asks viewers to reflect upon people that many of us overlook in the street. Knowing their challenges puts us closer to gaining an understanding. It is through understanding that we may find compassion.
