Deeply rooted in nature, the land and the changing to season, both Bev and Linda capture this moment in time in their art. They tend to capture the small and fleeting moments in time from the first rising of the moon on a soft spring night to the gathering of garden snails after a warm spring day.
This collection is nspired by Spring and the changes of this moment in time as winter comes to rest and warmer days bring the arrival of new buds, bright flowers and the return of birds. Using hand-dyed indigo papers, Linda pays homage to the moon and light on the landscape. Eco-prints are reconstructed to create a miniature forest filled with mushrooms, ferns and the creatures who live there. Bev captures spring unfurling in watercolour and Lino prints.
From the bossy wren who takes over the garden to the arrival of the purple swallows swooping and diving high up in the clouds.
Bev and Linda's lives, where they have lived and how they have lived have always been intertwined with nature and the natural world. They are constantly inspired by all the creatures who live there and the changes as one season flows into the next. Whether it is one moment in time captured in one of their hand-made artist books or their paintings, their art and their lives are rooted in nature.
