By opposing the imitation of reality while creating a new reality in its own right, artists offer new possibilities of vision by changing the way in which things are seen and known. The work in this exhibition invites the viewer to explore the trends and movements in art that are diverging and converging, crossing and overlapping, dismissing the notion that progress occurs only within paradigms and not between them.
