The exhibition features groundbreaking work from the talented 2023 cohort of MFA degree candidates: Hoor Ahmed, Maru Aponte, Gwenyth Chao, Sidi Chen, Isabella Dagnino, Sam Davis, Jimena Diaz Jirash, KJ Edwards, Jenie Gao, Marion Landry, Kalvin Valko, Eliot White-Hill Kwulasultun, and Sophia Zarders.
This year's exhibition biometaphysicalmateria promises to be a captivating showcase of diverse practices with works that address a range of themes, including anamnesis and the feminine body, genealogy and medical imaging, plein air painting, light and perception, compostable materials, environmental aesthetics and bio-active naturescapes, ethic and equity, queer Black histories, queer worlding, as well as local and indigenous storywork.
