Gallery 1C03 invites all artists in the campus community to submit your artwork to the 3rd University of Winnipeg Community Art Exhibition.
This event celebrates the creativity of the University of Winnipeg community. All artworks showcased are made by UWinnipeg students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Entry guidelines:
You are invited to submit up to two (2) examples of your artwork. Works may be presented in any media that is safe to exhibit, ready to hang, and for which Gallery 1C03 has the requisite ability to present. Examples include painting, drawing, photography, prints, video, textiles, sculpture, ceramics.
You are eligible to submit your artwork if you are:
- A current UWinnipeg student (please provide your student number on the submission form)
- A current or retired UWinnipeg staff member
- A current or retired UWinnipeg faculty member
- A graduate of UWinnipeg
Space considerations will be taken into account for final selections and an effort will be made to include representation of work by all participants.
Works must be completed in the last 3 years.
Works must be submitted in “ready to exhibit” condition (framed or ready to display in a safe and professional manner in a public gallery with required hardware affixed). Professional framing is not necessary, but works must be presentable. Hanging wire is preferred for work that is framed.
Works that are not ready to exhibit or deemed not presentable will not be accepted.
To confirm your participation, download the submission form, fill it in, and email it to Gallery 1C03's Director/Curator no later than May 5, 2020.
Once your participation has been confirmed, you can drop off your artwork at Gallery 1C03 on May 11, 12, or 13 between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
The exhibition's opening reception will take place on Wednesday, May 20 between 3:00 and 5:30 p.m.
