On Saturday, April 22 2017, Centre A’s Annual Art Auction & Gala returns for its 18th year celebrating diversity in our communities and our continued work in building the Asia-Canada relationship.
Take part in Centre A’s Fundraising Gala & Art Auction on Saturday, April 22. Join us for a sumptuous plated supper, tasty drinks and so much more, taking place at the Westin Bayshore Hotel. This year’s event is filled with works from well-established artists from Canada and abroad, including Howie Tsui, Paul Wong, Patrick Cruz, Gailan Ngan, Lewis & Taggart, Chih-Chien Wang, and more. In addition, there will be a special performance by Asian-Canadian comedy collective, Assaulted Fish!
2017/18 will be huge for Centre A. While major changes are afoot for the gallery, we will simultaneously be embarking on a massive artistic project with world renowned Hong Kong artist, Samson Young. All proceeds from the fundraiser gala will go towards amplifying and enriching these projects and other aspects of what we do, including but not limited to:
5-7 exhibitions per year;
Centre A and RAT school of ART’s Annual Canada-Korea Residency and Exchange Program;
Our Annual Curatorial Mentorship Exhibition
Summer School: Narrative, Power, and You – Centre A’s debut educational programming for teens.
