Curated by Jonas Jones (TsuKwalton), Children of Takaya brings together six emerging Tsleil-Waututh artists, sheds light on their individual craft as they build their careers, and reveals this to be an important moment of collective cultural resurgence.

Exhibition Reception: Saturday, August 13, 2 – 4 p.m.

Exhibition reception with dance performance by Children of Takaya Dance Group in Panorama Park. Reception to follow at the Seymour Art Gallery.

Closing Reception: Saturday, September 10, 4 – 6 p.m.

Please join us for the Children of Takaya closing reception.

The celebration will begin in Panorama Park, in Deep Cove, with cultural sharing by the Children of Takaya Dance Group. Stories, songs, dancing, and drumming will be shared on the stage in Panorama Park at 4 p.m. and the reception will follow at the Seymour Art Gallery, just a short walk away.
