Chris Cran presents After the Flood, scans of polaroids that were damaged in the 2005 Calgary flood, rescued and dried by a friend, then rediscovered years later in storage and made into limited edition prints. When Chris first saw the recovered original Polaroids, he was struck by both the damage and the beauty, perfectly illustrating Chris Cran’s interest in perception, meaning, and the fine line between abstraction and representation. This work was reviewed by Border Crossings Magazine and a set (edition #2) of this work was purchased by the National Gallery of Canada.
