This summer, the Kootenay Gallery of Art invites you to experience Collected Visions, an inspiring group exhibition by the West Kootenay Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA), running from June 19 to July 12.
The exhibition features a diverse and dynamic selection of paintings that reflect the imagination, skill, and spirit of artists from across the West and East Kootenays, the Okanagan, and Boundary. These artists are members of the FCA, a storied organization founded in 1941 by some of Canada’s most celebrated painters, including Lawren Harris, Emily Carr, Arthur Lismer, and A.Y. Jackson.
The opening reception takes place Thursday, June 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., offering a chance to meet the artists, cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award, and enjoy complimentary light refreshments in a warm, creative atmosphere.
Whether you’re a long-time art lover or simply curious, Collected Visions offers a rare opportunity to connect with the vibrant artistic energy of the Kootenays.
The Kootenay Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the summer. Admission is by donation.
Don’t miss this celebration of local artistry and collective imagination!
