Community Art Days
Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th, 2025
Two Rivers Gallery is excited to announce the return of Community Art Days! This free, all-ages event will take place on Friday July 11, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and Saturday July 12, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in Canada Games Plaza inside and outside of the gallery. Engaging our community through the intersection of art and local collaboration with family-oriented activities, musical performances, community partners, and more, the fitting theme of the event this year is Weaving Connection.
We are thrilled to have numerous artists-in-residence joining us this year, Lheidli artist and Elder Les Baker will be leading an ecosystem exploration activity, while the sculptural and mixed media expertise of Port Alberni-based artist Connie Watts will be shared through an interactive braiding activity. Following this year’s theme of weaving connection, we have many fun fiber arts crafts involving yarn and thread such as finger weaving and yarn landscapes alongside classic activities like our paint spinning station.
Once again, Inspire Productions is providing entertainment for the event with a stacked line up of fantastic local talent for you to enjoy. Adding to the fun is the brand new ALL YEAR-ROUND skating rink in Civic Plaza! Come try it out! Community Art Days is also excited to be joined by the BC Special Olympics, taking place in the Civic Center on the same days.
